Swaddle-free sleeping

Leo has always been a baby who needs to be swaddled to sleep. He'll squirm, fuss, kick and cry when he's ready to nap, but he absolutely would not go to sleep with his arms free. Then, the minute we wrap him up like a burrito, his eyes close and he's asleep in no time - sometimes before we can turn around to pick up a pacifier! Well lately, he's fallen asleep for a nap or two without it. And we need to get him out of the habit anyway for safety reasons. So last night, we tried letting him sleep without it (we chose Friday so that if he woke up during the night, we wouldn't have to go to work the next day). And, in true Leo style, he made it all night without the swaddle on the FIRST TRY! He slept in his crib for 10 hours without a swaddle and without waking up to fuss. Nice job, Leo!
